The 4 P's—professional learning networks, programmes, professional development and progressive Learning–are guiding K–12 education into the future.
FREMONT, CA: Education has undergone impressive transformations in recent years. Technology has taken over the K-12 education world, prioritising edtech. Education has advanced to a new era of forward-thinking and innovation as a result of all of these changes.
Professional Learning Networks
There are PLNs all over the internet and social media, which allows educators to virtually communicate and share ideas. In addition to giving educators ideas, tools, and places to start conversations about K–12 education, threads, forums, lists, etc. are being formed to get educators enthused about teaching. PLNs are expanding rapidly and assisting in maintaining connectivity in K–12 education.
Programmes
Programmes have made a significant contribution to the rapid learning and comprehensive understanding of edtech and new instructional styles. Schools have taken an effort to design professional development programmes for their personnel so that they can advance their teaching and become fully accustomed to the new technologies. Teachers depend on technology coaches and programs to advance K–12 education in the future.
Professional Development
Professional development is expanding into an innovative and engaging process. Since the advent of remote learning, the means by which teachers acquire and create professional development have significantly changed. Teachers prioritised student learning and growth in addition to their professional development. Teachers are using their complete potential to create connections with other members of the education community and learn how to improve their classrooms.
Progressive Learning
Since integrating technology, educators have developed a wide range of instructional strategies, learning styles, and methods to make online learning equally effective. In particular, progressive learning has advanced education into a new area of educational technology and made educators aware that perhaps the conventional, or old, manner of learning was not as effective as they originally believed. Progressive learning styles are being touted as the future or new normal in K-12 classrooms across the country.
